death and such.

"The facts of life and death remain the same. We live and die, we love and grieve, we breed and disappear. And between those existential gravities, we search for meaning, save our memories, leave a record for those who will remember us." -Thomas Lynch, Bodies in Motion and at Rest

"He who is wise at heart sorrows not for the living nor the dead. All that lives lives forever. Only the shell, the perishable, vanishes. The spirit is without an end, eternal, deathless." -Bhagavad Gita

I wonder how long cyberspace will stick around. It's a silly idea, but the internet is, in fact, built of the embers of ARPANET (used exclusively for the army, at first) and the backbones of it really do exist. When will we die? When does it all just cave in? This is a recollection; this is a confession. It's from a tiny life lived in a sea of billions. Take what you will, I suppose.

PS: Erin, our friendship isn't in danger. Come on!
