I'm listening to the new Sigur Ros and I really, really enjoy it. The untitled tracks 1 and 3 are beautiful. Track 4 is "The Nothing Song" which was also in the film "Vanilla Sky" at the end and it's also a testament to the slow, glacial beauty of this album. It's not as fast-paced or swelling as their previous album, and most of these songs require patience, but it usually pays off. In particular, the roaring conclusion of the last track on the album "The Pop Song" is something both full of energy and sadness, and some badass drumming, to boot. I can't wait to see this all unfold live.

My life is settling down a little. Nothing bad, mind you. Just slower. Maybe it's this CD.
